Latest Update: Talliki Vandanam Scheme 2026
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has recently provided new updates for the scheme for the year 2026-27. In a bid to further strengthen educational support, the state has sanctioned a total disbursement amount of INR 10,120.78 crores, which will be directly deposited into the bank accounts of approximately 42.70 lakh mothers, thereby benefiting around 67.47 lakh students from class 1 to class 12. This marks the second consecutive year of the flagship welfare scheme under the new TDP-led NDA government.
In addition, the eligibility criteria have been revised to widen the scheme’s coverage. There is no cap on the number of children per family — every eligible child receives assistance. The scheme has been extended to children of Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi helpers (Aayas), and sanitation workers. The government is also working to ensure benefits reach orphaned children. The scheme now offers a benefit of Rs. 15,000 per child per year, out of which Rs. 13,000 is credited directly to the mother’s bank account, and Rs. 2,000 is deducted for school maintenance and hygiene.
The earlier scheme named “Jagananna Amma Vodi” has been officially renamed to “Talliki Vandanam” (meaning “Salutations to Mother”) by the TDP government. The first phase of disbursement for 2026-27 began on July 22, 2026. All other aspects—including the application process, guidelines, and payment procedures—remain largely similar, ensuring that the benefits reach the mothers of school-going children directly.
